Classic Tomato sauce

Ingredients

1 28 oz can of La Valle's Italian Peeled Tomatoes

2 gloves garlic (add more or less if preferred)

1 small onion (diced)

2 tsp La Valle's Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Salt and Pepper

Directions

Start by sauteing onions in olive oil in a large sauce pan

Use hand puree to crush and blend tomatoes or crush with back of spoon instead for chunkies tomato sauce

Add more salt and pepper to taste

Once onions are sauteed, add garlic and let cook for a minute then add full can of peeled tomatoes

Optional

 

Add chili flakes for a little heat and/or fresh basil 

3.

Add salt and pepper and let tomatoes simmer for 1 hour stirring occasionally

Store

Keep in airtight container in fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for 3 months
